Carrie, an Army “brat” was born in Ft. Benning, Georgia, then moved several more times including overseas to Germany before her father was stationed at Ft. Meade, Maryland. They chose Severna Park for the excellent school districts. Both she and her husband graduated from Severna Park High School. Now raising her family here in town, Carrie’s children attend the same schools and youth sports programs that she attended in her youth.

Carrie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in journalism with a specialization in advertising and a minor in psychology. She wrote for the school newspaper, <i>The Diamondback</i>. During her senior year she interned at Earle Palmer Brown in the creative department where she worked with production and creative departments to prepare comps and storyboards for presentations for such clients as Roy Rogers, The State of Maryland Tourism and US Air.

After graduation, Carrie was a production assistant at Madison West, a division of Blakeslee Group in Baltimore. She worked in all areas of print production where she acted as liaison between sales representatives, clients and the creative department. Clients included Coca-Cola, Hershey, and McCormick. Carrie then worked as an assistant account executive for the direct marketing firm, Barry Blau &amp; Partners where she worked with clients such as AARP. She then was a Senior Account Executive with Trahan Burden &amp; Charles (TBC Direct) working on several local, regional and national accounts including, The Baltimore Sun, The Baltimore Ravens and Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. Looking for a new challenge and to work closer to her home in Bel Air, she joined Comcast Online working to expand their high speed internet service.

After moving back to Severna Park, Carrie decided to be a stay at home mom. She continued to be actively involved in the community joining the Junior League of Annapolis where she served as the PR Chair, Cookbook Co-Chair and on the Board as Member at Large. She received the JLA’s President’s Award of Excellence for her work as PR Chairwoman. Carrie has also always been actively involved with her sorority,  Delta Delta Delta, serving various leadership positions including nine years on House Corporation. Carrie has also chaired positions in local community organizations such as the Greater Severna Park Moms Club and has served as Chairwoman of the Chartwell 9 Hole Ladies Group and as the Chartwell representative for the Baltimore area Nine Hole Interclub.

When not playing golf, tennis or attending one of her kids sports or youth activities, Carrie enjoys photography, drawing, reading and  traveling to her other home in Naples, Florida.
