Mother and Son from Cape St. Claire Killed in Texas Wreck

A mother and her 12-year-old son who were killed in a wrong-way crash in Texas on Saturday recently moved there from Cape St. Claire.

A mother and her 12-year-old son who recently moved from Cape St. Claire were among four killed in a wrong-way crash in Texas on Saturday.

Texas authorities identified two of the four people killed in the Saturday wreck as Sherice Baker, 48, and Shykeme Baker, 12, according to The Dallas Morning News. 

Shykeme Baker was a student at Magothy River Middle School as recently as the last school year, according to school system spokesman Bob Mosier.

The Bakers were passengers in a car driven by Walter Williams, 58, who suddenly turned south on a northbound highway, and collided with a pickup truck driven by Marcos Campos, 28, according to The Dallas Morning News. Campos and Williams also died in the wreck, authorities said.
