Seven BHS Students Compete in Microsoft Event

The students earned Microsoft certifications and are eligible to earn one college credit for each certification, according to a press release.

Seven students from Broadneck High School's business department were involved in an international competition for Microsoft Certifications.

The Certiport 2013 Worldwide Competition in Microsoft Office saw some of the brightest minds in high schools across the world show their skills off with the Microsoft Office suite of programs. 

Seven from Broadneck competed, including:

  • Karl Brown
  • Christopher Dell
  • Richard Ensor
  • Andrew Mainhart
  • Cody Peterbrink
  • Drew Stinner
  • Casey Williams
In addition to their participation in this global event, these students  have earned one or more Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications and are eligible to earn one college credit for each certification, according to a press release.

The championship rounds of the 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist competition run from July 31-August 3 in Washington D.C.
