6-year-old Falls from Bedroom Window

The girl fell from her second-floor window at a home on Blackfoot Drive in Arnold, a fire department spokesman said.

A six-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she fell from her bedroom window in Arnold, according to a fire official.

The girl was taken to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Center in Baltimore on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. after she apparently tumbled from a second-floor window at her family's home on Blackfoot Drive in Arnold.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department Division Chief Keith Swindle said it was not immediately clear how or why she fell from the window.

The girl's injuries were considered to be serious, but not life-threatening, Swindle said.
