Car Jumps Curb, Strikes Teen and 1 Other in Cape St. Claire

Police are still investigating the incident.

Two pedestrians, including one teen, were struck by a car and hospitalized in Cape St. Claire late Sunday, police said.

A 17-year-old male and an unidentified victim were walking along Cape St. Claire Road at at 11:10 p.m. Sunday when they were struck by a Toyota after it drove onto the curb, according to Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

The teen was sent to the University of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for serious but non life-threatening injuries, said Anne Arundel County Fire Department Lt. Jack Beall. The other victim was sent to Anne Arundel Medical Center by ambulance for serious injuries.

Mulcahy said the driver remained on the scene and the incident is still under investigation.
